Joey K. - I’ve been on a couple of Lokahi chartered sails and had a great time.
For one sail, we had a bit of a party crowd (super fun), and the other was with a smaller, relaxed group celebrating over sunset.
First off, the boat is gorgeous. It’s a 4-stateroom French catamaran yacht that looks brand new. It has a sizable covered outdoor dining table, plus several outdoor lounging levels and a large net to lie on.
I hate to say it’s a boujee craft, but this boat wouldn’t be out of place on the French Riviera.
The cat can fit a decent number of people for an afternoon out, but it also might work well for an intimate wedding rehearsal dinner. We brought in food, and there are several refrigerators which kept our drinks cold til we needed them.
Captain Dave was really friendly and knowledgeable and was able to navigate around some of the unexpected quirks you’ll find on the open ocean, including how to dodge the swells and where best to anchor.
Both times we brought diving gear and snorkeled under and around the catamaran.
Chartering a boat (especially one as beautiful as this) is never cheap, but I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Lokahi for a special occasion.

Ranko - Our journey on Lokahi was out of this world. This boat is so unique and the fact that it was sailed all the way from Europe to Hawaiian islands blew my mind! Captain Dave was very welcoming and we appreciate that he loved sharing his stories with this boat how he sailed world with it before deciding to shatter it and share with everyone! We had it rented for 3 days only. I’ll share some of our adventure throughout island of Oahu. We sailed from Waikiki to East side Kailua and to Waimea Bay North Shore!
